Meet Chris Andrews

The relationships, reputation, and local knowledge behind every Mobile Bay experience.

When you work with Mobile Bay Experiences, you’re not hiring a vendor — you’re tapping into years of relationships, connections, and network-building across the entire region. That network is what turns a good itinerary into an unforgettable one, and it’s what makes your event a success.

Chris Andrews connects people to the food, history, and culture of the Mobile Bay region. He is the founder and CEO of Bienville Bites Food Tour in Mobile, Alabama, and Taste of Fairhope Tours in Fairhope, both built on the belief that the best way to understand a place is to taste it, walk it, and hear its stories.

Born and raised in Mobile, Chris grew up with a love of local history and food. In 2017 he brought the two together to launch Bienville Bites, Mobile’s first walking food tour. Since then it has earned national recognition as one of the best food tours in America, with top-five finishes in USA TODAY’s 10Best competition every year from 2023 to 2025 and more than 700 five-star reviews from guests around the world.

In the fall of 2020, Chris and his wife Laney expanded across the bay with Taste of Fairhope Tours, giving guests a taste of the food, drink, and one-of-a-kind character of downtown Fairhope. Together the two tours reflect a bigger mission: helping locals and visitors alike experience everything the Mobile Bay region has to offer.

Chris’s commitment to the region reaches beyond tourism. He serves on the Saraland City Council, working to strengthen the community he calls home. He is also the author of “A Culinary History of Mobile,” a graduate of Leadership Mobile, and a member of Mobile Bay Magazine’s “40 Under 40” Class of 2025, honoring the area’s most influential young professionals.

When he isn’t leading a tour, writing, or serving his city, Chris spends his time with Laney and their three children, Audrey, Sawyer, and Carson.

Relationships in action

One call. One seamless trip.

When a senior travel group from Minnesota needed someone to plan their entire Mobile visit, Chris designed the whole thing: a food tour to break the ice, an evening chef dinner, the Carnival Museum, the USS Alabama, and a step-on guide for their motorcoach. For the planner, it was one local contact and zero stress — because the chefs, venues, and guides were already friends. That’s the difference a network makes.
